I have a vicious secret that haunts me. I fear sharing it will mark me a pariah in the "musical community", but it must be unleashed.
I hate gear.
Well, I guess I should say I have a love/hate relationship with gear. It is a means to an end, but overall it is evil. It is expensive, it often doesn't work as hoped and although it often recreates the sounds I hear in my head, it also colors, distorts and destroys it. Only after wrestling it for hours, forcing it to do my bidding, does it finally submit to sounding like what I hear.
I hate it so much.
